HERITAGE WALK

The Monuments in Richmond Parish Church and its Churchyard and the Vineyard Burial Ground

An opportunity to learn more about and enjoy the unrivalled collection of 18th and 19th century memorials in the Town’s historic Parish Church and its churchyards led by Valerie Boyes, former Chair of The Museum of Richmond.

7.30 pm from Richmond Railway Station upper concourse - ending about 9 pm at a local pub.
A contribution of £2 is requested towards the Richmond Society Tree Planting and Landscaping Fund.

Wednesday 18th June 2014
HERITAGE WALK

Meadows, nurseries, market-gardens and allotments of Richmond

A walk focusing on the agricultural and horticultural heritage of Richmond and Petersham.
Led by Phillippa Heath of the Museum of English Rural Life in The University of Reading.

7.30 pm from Richmond Railway Station upper concourse - ending about 9 pm at a local pub.
A contribution of £2 is requested towards the Richmond Society Tree Planting and Landscaping Fund.

The Angels of Richmond: the carved heads on the door-cases on 18th century houses in Richmond and their carvers

A walk focusing on the beautifully carved door-cases of the 18th century houses in the Town.
Led by Valerie Boyes, former Chair of the Museum of Richmond.

7.30 pm from Richmond Railway Station upper concourse - ending about 9 pm at a local pub.
A contribution of £2 is requested towards the Richmond Society Tree Planting and Landscaping Fund.
