What We Do
The Richmond Society:
- Encourages good development by presenting Awards
for buildings and other schemes which make a positive contribution
to the Richmond Town and Hill areas.
- Works to monitor and influence proposals affecting the Natural Environment in and around Richmond
Town and the Hill.
- Works to monitor and influence proposals affecting the Built Environment of the Richmond Town
and Hill areas.
- Campaigns on Infrastructure issues
issues such as roads, traffic, car-parking, public transport,
litter, mobile phone masts and aircraft.
- Identifies and raises funds for Environmental
Improvements, and sees them through to completion.
- Initiates and in some cases funds Tree
Planting plus shrub and bulb planting, landscaping and paving
schemes.
- Campaigns on Antisocial Behaviour
and Licencing.
- Campaigns for prevention and removal of Graffiti
